Warhammer 40,000 Gal Vorbak- Word Bearers commission

Warhammer 40,000 Gal Vorbak- Word Bearers commission

A Warhammer 40,000 Gal Vorbak- Word Bearer’s commission that I had the pleasure to paint.

I was approached by a customer who wished to commission me to paint nine extensively and beautifully converted Word Bearer models. Green Stuffing on Instagram had labored to create his vision of the notorious Gal Vorbak, and he did a fantastic job. I was delighted to take on this project!

We talked over potential color schemes and eventually settled on something fairly classic, red armor with black accents. When it came to the fleshy areas, however, my customer wanted something different from a pink fleshy skin tone so we went with a blue/grey palette. The inspiration for this was one of the Chaos Spawn models from Games Workshop, there, the blue/grey transitions through to black towards the hands and feet, it has a delightful ethereal feeling.

For the bases, we settled on a barren wasteland, dry and bereft of foliage. Overall we were both very happy with how the models came out, I hope that you like them!
